HOTSWAP HELP

How HotSwap Works

HotSwap helps connect a driver looking for nearby parking with a driver who is preparing to leave a parking spot.

How do I find a nearby HotSwap?

Open ParkHandy and use the HotSwap feature to look for drivers who are preparing to leave a parking spot near your location.

HotSwap is designed for nearby, real-time parking opportunities. Availability depends on participating drivers around you at that moment.

How do I request a HotSwap?

When you find an available HotSwap, follow the request process shown in the app. The driver offering the spot can then review and accept or decline your request.

Wait for the request status to update before traveling to the parking location.

What happens after my HotSwap request is accepted?

After acceptance, ParkHandy guides you through the next steps for the HotSwap, including any required payment step and navigation to the parking location.

Follow the active HotSwap information shown in the app so both drivers can complete the handoff in the proper order.

How does navigation work during a HotSwap?

When navigation becomes available, use the navigation option provided by ParkHandy to travel toward the HotSwap location.

Continue to follow normal traffic laws and safe driving practices. Do not interact with the app while driving unless it is safe and lawful to do so.

What does “I Arrived” mean?

“I Arrived” is used when the arriving driver has reached the HotSwap location and is ready for the parking handoff.

The HotSwap should only continue when both drivers can complete the handoff safely.

When should I use “Swap Finished”?

Use “Swap Finished” after the parking handoff has actually been completed.

Do not mark the swap finished before the parking handoff is complete.

What if the HotSwap cannot be completed?

If the parking handoff cannot be completed, use the available problem-reporting option in the HotSwap.

ParkHandy may ask for a reason and supporting information. When a review case is created, keep the Case ID for reference.

You may still complete the HotSwap if the parking handoff can be completed safely and the app allows the transaction to continue.

Can I report a problem with photos?

When the reporting flow provides a photo option, you can attach relevant photos to help document the issue.

Only submit information that is relevant to the HotSwap and appropriate for ParkHandy Support to review.

What is a ParkHandy Case ID?

A Case ID identifies a ParkHandy problem or review case. Keep the Case ID if you need to contact Support about the same issue later.

SPACE RENTAL HELP

How Space Rental Works

Space Rental helps drivers find parking spaces offered by ParkHandy hosts and request them for a selected rental period.

How do I find an available parking space?

Open ParkHandy and use the parking discovery features to browse available rental spaces. You can review spaces that match the area and rental period you need.

Availability can change when another renter books a space or when the host updates the listing.

What rental periods are available?

ParkHandy listings may offer hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly rental options depending on how the host has configured the parking space.

Review the rental information shown for the specific space before submitting a booking request.

How do I send a booking request?

Select the parking space you want, choose the available rental details requested by the app, and submit the booking request.

After submitting the request, ParkHandy will show the booking in your rental area while you wait for the host to respond.

What happens after I send a booking request?

The host can review the incoming booking request and accept or decline it.

ParkHandy updates the booking status so you can see whether the request is still pending, accepted, or declined.

What if the parking space is already booked?

If the selected parking space is already reserved for the requested period, ParkHandy will prevent a conflicting booking.

When available, the app may show when the space is expected to become available again so you can choose another time or look for a different space.

Where can I see an accepted rental?

Accepted rentals appear in your ParkHandy rental area. Open the applicable rental to review the information provided for the confirmed booking.

ParkHandy notifications may also take you directly to the relevant rental when a booking status changes.

Can I extend an active rental?

When an extension is available for the rental, use the extension option provided in ParkHandy.

An extension may require host approval and cannot conflict with another booking for the same parking space.

What happens when my rental ends?

When the rental period ends, ParkHandy moves the rental out of its active state and keeps the applicable rental information available through rental history.

The parking space can become available for future bookings according to its listing and availability.

Can renters and hosts rate each other?

After an eligible rental is completed, ParkHandy can provide rating options for the renter and host.

Use ratings and comments to provide relevant, respectful feedback about the completed rental experience.

What if there is a problem with my rental?

Use the available cancellation, problem-reporting, or dispute options provided for the rental when appropriate.

If ParkHandy creates a review case, keep the Case ID and provide relevant information requested for the review.

HOST HELP

Hosting with ParkHandy

ParkHandy hosts can list eligible parking spaces, manage availability, review booking requests, and manage rental activity through the host features available in ParkHandy.

How do I post a parking space?

Open the ParkHandy host features and use the option to post a parking space. Enter the information requested for the listing, including the parking location, space type, availability, and applicable rental details.

Review the information carefully before making the space available to renters.

How are multiple spaces at the same property identified?

When multiple parking spaces of the same type are listed at an address, ParkHandy identifies them with space numbers so the host can distinguish one space from another.

Use the space number shown in ParkHandy when reviewing booking and rental activity for that location.

Can I edit or delete a posted parking space?

An unbooked parking space can be managed through the host listing controls available in ParkHandy.

A space with an active or applicable confirmed booking is protected from changes that could interfere with the renter's reservation. Wait until the booking no longer locks the space before making changes that are restricted during the rental.

How do I know when a renter sends a booking request?

ParkHandy can notify you when an incoming booking request is received. Opening the relevant notification or request area takes you to the incoming booking information.

Review the address, space type, space number, requested rental information, and other details shown before responding.

How do I accept or decline a booking request?

Open the incoming booking request and use the Accept or Decline option shown for that request.

Once the request status changes, ParkHandy updates the rental information for the host and renter as applicable.

What happens to my space after I accept a booking?

ParkHandy treats the applicable parking space as booked for the confirmed rental period and prevents conflicting use of that same space.

The host can continue to see the booking and rental status through the applicable host management areas.

Can another renter book the space while it is already booked?

ParkHandy prevents a conflicting booking for a parking space that is already reserved for the requested period.

The space can become available again after the existing rental period ends, subject to the listing's availability.

How do rental extension requests work for hosts?

When a renter requests an available extension, the host can review the extension request through ParkHandy.

An extension cannot be approved when it conflicts with another applicable booking for the parking space.

What happens after a rental is completed?

After the rental period ends, ParkHandy moves the applicable rental into its completed or past state.

The parking space can return to availability according to its listing, and completed rental information can remain available through the appropriate history or host records.

Can I rate the renter after the rental?

After an eligible rental is completed, ParkHandy can provide the host with an option to rate the renter.

Ratings and comments should be relevant to the rental experience and submitted respectfully.

What if there is a problem with a rental?

Use the applicable problem-reporting, cancellation, or dispute option provided by ParkHandy when appropriate.

If a review case is created, keep the ParkHandy Case ID and provide any relevant information requested for the review.

PAYMENTS & REFUNDS HELP

Understanding ParkHandy Payments

Payment information in ParkHandy is tied to the parking transaction it belongs to. The exact options shown can depend on whether you are using HotSwap, Space Rental, or a host feature.

When am I charged for a ParkHandy transaction?

Follow the payment step shown in ParkHandy for the specific HotSwap or Space Rental transaction. A transaction is not considered paid simply because a request was created.

Review the amount and transaction details shown before completing any available payment step.

How can I check whether a payment was completed?

Check the status shown in ParkHandy for the applicable transaction. The app uses the transaction state to guide you through the next available step.

If the status does not match what you expected, avoid repeatedly submitting payment and contact ParkHandy Support with the transaction details.

What should I do if a payment fails?

If ParkHandy shows that a payment did not complete, follow the payment instructions available in the app. Do not assume the parking transaction is confirmed until ParkHandy shows the appropriate status.

If the problem continues, contact ParkHandy Support and include the type of transaction, the approximate time, and any error message shown in the app.

What if I think I was charged twice?

First, review the transaction information available in ParkHandy and your payment account to determine whether there are two completed charges or whether one entry is only temporary or pending.

If you believe two completed charges were made for the same ParkHandy transaction, contact ParkHandy Support. Do not create additional transactions in an attempt to correct the issue.

How do refunds and payment adjustments work?

A refund or adjustment can depend on the transaction, its status, the reason for the request, and the outcome of any applicable cancellation or dispute review.

ParkHandy may need to review the related booking, HotSwap, payment record, and case information before a financial adjustment can be determined.

Where will a refund go?

When a refund is approved and processed, it is handled through the applicable payment process for the original transaction.

The time required for the funds to appear can depend on the payment provider or financial institution involved.

How do host payouts work?

Host payout information is associated with completed or otherwise eligible rental activity. The exact payout status can depend on the transaction state and any applicable review, refund, or dispute.

If a host payment appears incorrect, keep the relevant rental details available and contact ParkHandy Support.

Can a dispute affect a host payout or renter refund?

Yes. When a transaction is under review, ParkHandy may need to consider the dispute before the final financial outcome can be determined.

The review may include the rental or HotSwap timeline, payment records, reported information, photographs, and other relevant case details.

What information should I provide for a payment problem?

Include the ParkHandy account involved, the type of transaction, the approximate date and time, the amount in question, and a clear description of what happened.

If the issue already has a ParkHandy Case ID, include that Case ID when contacting Support so the payment issue can be matched to the correct review.

PROBLEMS & DISPUTES HELP

Reporting and Reviewing a Problem

ParkHandy provides problem-reporting and dispute options for applicable HotSwap and Space Rental activity. Provide clear, relevant information so the issue can be matched to the correct transaction and reviewed.

How do I report a problem?

Use the problem-reporting or dispute option available for the applicable HotSwap or Space Rental transaction. Select the reason that best describes the issue and provide the information requested by ParkHandy.

Keep your description focused on what happened and the parking transaction involved.

What should I do if a HotSwap cannot be completed?

If the parking handoff cannot be completed, use the available problem-reporting option in the HotSwap. ParkHandy may provide an “Unable to complete swap” option for this situation.

If the parking handoff can still be completed safely and the app allows the transaction to continue, you may still complete the HotSwap.

What if there is a problem with a Space Rental?

Use the applicable cancellation, problem-reporting, or dispute option available for the rental. Provide the rental details and a clear explanation of the issue.

The transaction status and the circumstances of the rental may affect what options are available for review.

Can I submit photos or other supporting details?

When the reporting flow provides a photo option, you can attach relevant photos to help document the issue. You can also provide the details requested in the report.

Submit only information that is relevant to the ParkHandy transaction and appropriate for Support to review.

What is a ParkHandy Case ID?

A Case ID identifies a ParkHandy problem or dispute review. Keep the Case ID after submitting your report so the issue can be referenced later.

If you contact ParkHandy Support about the same issue, include the Case ID whenever possible.

What information may ParkHandy review in a dispute?

A review may include the applicable HotSwap or rental timeline, transaction status, payment information, reports submitted by the parties, photographs, and other relevant case details available to ParkHandy.

The information considered depends on the type of problem and the transaction involved.

Can a dispute affect a payment, refund, or host payout?

Yes. When a transaction is under review, the dispute may need to be considered before the final financial outcome can be determined.

Any applicable refund, adjustment, or host payout can depend on the transaction status and the outcome of the review.

What should I do while my case is being reviewed?

Keep your ParkHandy Case ID and any relevant information related to the transaction. Avoid submitting duplicate reports for the same issue unless ParkHandy asks you to provide additional information.

If Support requests more details, provide information that is directly related to the existing case.

Should I create another case for the same problem?

Generally, keep the existing Case ID for the same reported issue rather than creating duplicate reports. This helps keep the relevant information connected to one review.

If a separate and unrelated problem occurs, it may require its own report and Case ID.

How do I contact Support about an existing dispute?

Contact ParkHandy Support and include your Case ID, the applicable transaction details, and a concise description of what you need help with.

Providing the Case ID helps connect your support request with the existing review.

ACCOUNT & NOTIFICATIONS HELP

Managing Your ParkHandy Account

Your ParkHandy account connects your profile, vehicle information, location access, and notifications so the app can provide the parking features and updates you use.

How do I access my ParkHandy account?

Use the sign-in option available in ParkHandy and follow the authentication steps shown for your account.

Use the same sign-in method associated with your existing ParkHandy account when returning to the app.

What should I do if I cannot sign in?

Confirm that your device has an internet connection and retry the sign-in method associated with your account.

If sign-in still does not complete, contact ParkHandy Support and include any error message shown by the app.

Why does ParkHandy ask for vehicle information?

Vehicle information helps identify the vehicle associated with applicable ParkHandy parking activity and booking requests.

Keep the vehicle information you use for parking accurate and up to date.

Why does ParkHandy need location permission?

Location access supports location-based parking features, including finding relevant parking opportunities and navigation-related functionality.

The features available to you may be limited when required location permission is disabled.

Why does ParkHandy ask for notification permission?

Notifications help alert you to important ParkHandy activity, such as requests, booking updates, and other transaction-related changes.

Allowing notifications helps you receive time-sensitive updates even when ParkHandy is not currently open.

What should I do if ParkHandy notifications are not appearing?

Check your device settings to make sure notifications are allowed for ParkHandy. Also confirm that notification features such as alerts, sounds, or badges have not been disabled at the device level.

If notifications are allowed but expected ParkHandy updates are still not appearing, contact Support with the type of notification you expected and what happened in the app.

What does the ParkHandy notification badge mean?

The badge indicates ParkHandy notification activity that still needs your attention.

After you open the applicable notification, page, or function, the badge count can decrease. When all applicable notifications have been read, the badge can disappear.

What happens when I tap a ParkHandy notification?

When supported by the notification, ParkHandy opens the relevant page or function so you can review the activity connected to that notification.

For transaction-related notifications, the app may also highlight the applicable request, booking, rental, or other relevant item.

Can I use ParkHandy without notifications enabled?

Some ParkHandy features may still be available, but you may miss important or time-sensitive updates when notifications are disabled.

For the best experience, allow the notifications you need for booking, rental, HotSwap, and other account activity.

How do I get help with an account or notification problem?

Contact ParkHandy Support and describe the account or notification issue as clearly as possible.

Include the device platform you are using, what you expected to happen, what actually happened, and any error message shown by ParkHandy.
